We’ve got some good news for health-conscious travelers in Milwaukee.
Chicago-based Farmer’s Fridge has opened two fresh-food vending machines inside Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport. Travelers can now get a range of healthy meals and snacks to take on the go, made fresh daily.
What is Farmer’s Fridge?
Farmer’s Fridge is kind of like a cold vending machine for healthy foods.
Airport travelers can choose from salads, sandwiches, wraps, grain bowls, and snacks. Farmer’s Fridge makes all its fresh food daily and restocks the fridges overnight. All food items are packaged in BPA-free recyclable jars.
It’s an excellent opportunity to grab a healthy bite on the go, especially when you’re short on time at the airport.
Any unsold food doesn’t just get thrown away. Natalie Oxman, Communications and PR Coordinator for Farmer Fridge explained to us: “Giving back is a high priority for our company. We donate unsold food to local food pantries, providing nutritious meals to community members in need.”

Where to find the healthy food fridges at Milwaukee Airport
You can now access their first fridge at the airport located in the Departures area food court pre-security. The second fridge will open in the post-security Concession Mall in Concourse D next to gate 42, in just a few weeks.
You can find Farmer’s Fridge at other airports, too. Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Chicago Midway International Airport and Indianapolis International Airport all have the healthy food fridges.
