Plaza Premium Lounge’s new Wellbeing Spa is a welcome respite for frequent Canada-US travelers
It’s hard to miss the new Wellbeing Spa by Plaza Premium Lounge, opened in late 2017. It’s nestled right in the heart of Terminal 3’s USA Departures area, just beyond the food court.
The peaceful nook manages to insulate you a little from the madness of the airport with calming music and relaxing lounge chairs. Bury yourself in a magazine or just lay back and close your eyes while you wait for your treatment.

Wellbeing Spa experience
I tested one of the spa’s most popular treatments, the seated back massage. It’s $40 for 15 minutes or $60 for 30 minutes.
It’s incredible how much tension and stress can melt away with a short massage, which is perfect if you’re tight on time. The spa’s therapists are excellent at quickly honing in on the problem areas in your neck, shoulders, and back. The massage chair is adjustable, so ask to alter the position until you feel most comfortable.
I also opted for a French Shellac mani-pedi as I was headed to a wedding on my trip. The Express Manicure is $35, and Express Pedicure is $40. The French-Polish add-on is $10, and Shellac add-on is $25.
I was thrilled with the results of this mani-pedi. It still looks almost perfect two weeks later and has stood up to some serious outdoor activities like horseback riding, hiking, and river rafting. My aesthetician was very careful and skilled in the application and didn’t rush anything.

Yes, the spa even has a shower if you just need a quick freshen up before your flight. The shower room feels quite luxurious, and they provide fresh towels and a hairdryer, so there’s no need to bring your own.
The spa also has a few lines of beauty products you can purchase, including some skincare products from Korean company Whoo. Korean skincare products have been rising in popularity recently, so this is a unique and welcome addition to the spa’s offerings. They also carry Nabelle, a Canadian organic skincare line.
