According to San Francisco therapist Peggy Wynne, soothing yourself through retail therapy is a very real thing. “In small manageable doses it can soothe the soul,” she says. “We all enjoy a little retail therapy now and then.”

1. Miami International Airport: The Shoppes at Ocean Drive

This is a 10,000 square foot store-in-store concept that brings the ‘cutting edge’ style of Miami right inside the airport. All domestic and international passengers are welcome to shop at Ocean Drive – and there’s something for everyone to find too. From sunglasses and beach bags to candy and upscale men- and womenswear, you can’t go wrong with the shops at Ocean Drive.

2. Copenhagen Airport 

Copenhagen Airport has over 120 different shops where you’ll find everything from international brands that we all know and love to unique Scandinavian brands. Danish fashion designer Malene Birger has her only airport shop (in the world!) at Copenhagen Airport and offers affordable luxury to modern women.

3. Hong Kong International Airport

4. Schiphol Airport

The Schiphol Plaza on the public side of the airport has shops that we’re familiar with like Esprit, Victoria’s Secret and H&M but it’s also home to Dutch favorite Hema and a popular aviation-themed shop called Planes Plaza.

5. Haneda International Airport

When visiting Japan you’ve got to get something so uniquely Japanese that you wouldn’t be able to get back home – like a t-shirt printed with cute Japanese characters or cherry blossoms! At Haneda Airport in the international terminal, you can get these funky t-shirts and more in the Edo-Market.
