Where To Shop Athleisure Clothing At Airports

As a working mom, my favorite on-the-go attire is all about designs that speak to both comfort and fashion.

Though I am a fan of celebrity travel style spreads in glossy magazines, the realities of being a busy working mom require me to juggle many things at once, and squeeze into economy seats with a travel outfit that is comfortable and practical.

Thankfully, fashion-forward travel clothing has started to build a name for itself.

The Wall Street Journal’s Chloe Malle noted in her article, The New Rules for Airplane Dressing: Chic, Yet Comfortable, that clothing brands have started taking the category seriously, creating unique names for travel attire: “style names like the Wander Pant, a slim cut from Athleta, or the Jet Set trouser, which Époque Évolution bills as made for comfort on that red-eye flight, and style at that 9 a.m. after you land.”

Athleisure, as it’s now known, is designed to take on the physical and emotional tolls of navigating busy airports and creating comfort in cramped situations in flight.

So with an eye to giving us all a better shot at comfortable travel, I’ve rounded up the top places to shop athleisure clothing at airports.

Get comfortable at the airport

On the whole, airports tend to be challenging places to feel comfortable, calm and relaxed. But with increasing options in athleisure clothing popping up in terminals around the world, at least we can boost our wellness a bit by picking out a comfortable travel outfit.

Even the enjoyment of shopping for athleisure clothing at airports can be a zen-inducing experience. Many athleisure stores feel like tranquil shopping spaces compared to the frenzy of duty-free style shopping, and who doesn’t want to grab an extra moment of relaxation at airports?
